Here's just a few of our activities

Wednesdays — Missio Dei

On Wednesday evenings we gather to share a meal, hang-out, and discuss how the gospel is working in our lives and how to share in God’s mission for Longview. At 6:00 p.m., we meet to share a meal and fellowship and to spend time in the Word. We meet at 600 W. Garfield Drive, Longview 75602 during the year and in homes during the summer.

Children

On Wednesday evenings children are lead through an age appropriate curriculum. Our fifth and sixth graders go through a confirmation curriculum.

Ministry Partners

  • Thrive Longview

Thrive Longview’s conviction and passion are in the development of teen character. Our mission is simply to transform the lives of teens. As stewards and mentors, Christ is the foundation by which we establish our identity and culture as a ministry. The transformation of teens' lives takes place as we walk alongside them, aid in developing their character, and prepare them for the adversities life has to offer. Thrive Longview’s hope is that our students and their families will prosper, grow, and develop vigorously through intentional programming because we believe in the African proverb, “it takes a village”.

  • Hope Road Counseling

Hope Road was founded by Mobberly Baptist Church with the desire to provide Gospel-centered professional therapeutic care for all of East Texas.

Our purpose at Hope Road is to help individuals become more physically, emotionally and spiritually whole. Our counselors are well trained and provide the best care possible. At Hope Road, we believe healing and growth take place in the context of the Gospel, in community with others, and through the work of the Spirit in one’s heart.

  • Passage Institute for Youth and Theology

The church has always struggled to fulfill Jesus' call to go into all the world and make disciples (Matthew 28). In fact, on our own, it is an impossible task. Jesus, however, not only calls us, he also gives us every gift we need to follow his call! The Passage Institute for Youth and Theology was formed both in recognition of the difficulty the contemporary church has making our youth into disciples and in gratitude for God's good gifts.

The name "Passage" indicates our goal: to partner with churches to chart a course through the largely pathless wilderness that lies between adolescence and adult discipleship. The primary way we do this is through our year-long "Passage Fellowship."
